13 October 2025 – In a powerful tribute marking the 70th anniversary of the iconic monster, Toho Corp. released a commemorative video titled “70 Years of Godzilla: A New Roar in Southeast Asia.” The striking part for Malaysia is the distinct appearance of Equatorial Plaza! The sleek skyscraper is notably showcased in the Malaysian segment of the clip, a profound recognition of the property’s stature on the regional stage.

Inspired by this unique feature, EQ, the acclaimed five-star hotel within Equatorial Plaza, has entered into an exclusive collaboration with Toho. This partnership aims to celebrate Godzilla’s legacy by crafting a truly immersive experience, including themed merchandise and a special drink offering.
